How Does The Bong Get Dirty With Use? How To Clean It?

Your bong isn’t just a piece of glass and plastic. It’s your gateway into cannabis culture. If it’s dirty, you might start to feel like you don’t belong in the club. You can clean it yourself with simple household products, or you can take your bong to a pro for a one-off cleaning. But, which is better? And how do you know whether it needs cleaning at all?

We reached out to two experts on cannabis culture—Cannabis Science Institute founder Daniel Greenfield and Cannabis Training Center owner Michael Backes—to find out what exactly makes a bong dirty, and whether DIY cleaning is safe.

Why Do Bongs Get Dirty?

While there are many different types of bongs, they share some commonalities. Most feature a bowl that holds some amount of ground weed. The smoke then travels through a tube and out of a hole in the top. Some of these tubes also have screens that filter unwanted debris from the smoke before it enters the user’s lungs. This is why bongs are often referred to as “water bongs” since they require water.

The most basic bongs are made from glass, but some people prefer to use acrylic instead. They usually come in one of three shapes: concave (like a bowl), straight (a flat piece of glass) or teardrop (two concaved pieces of glass held together by a joint). There are also beakers, which look like a beaker with a round bottom. Beakers aren’t actually used for smoking; they were originally designed as an alternative to bongs. But, because of their unique shape, they make great tools for cleaning your bong.

What Exactly Is A Good Cleaning Method?

There are several options when it comes to cleaning your bong. While some methods may work well enough to keep it clean, others will only make it dirtier. In general, we recommend using a mild soap solution followed by warm water. In particular, if you decide to clean your bong with soap, we recommend starting with a bar or liquid dishwashing detergent. You can use either a brush or sponge to apply it to the inside and outside surfaces of the bong.

The person should plan to use the dry and clean straight beaker bong. The person can follow certain steps that will help in the cleaning of the bong. He must dedicate a good time in choosing eh best cleaning method that will do the effective cleaning. He can go through the online sites and get the detail.

But, there are certain things you should avoid doing. For example, you shouldn’t use alcohol or other solvents. These chemicals could damage your bong and even cause a fire, according to Greenfield. Even soaps containing sodium hypochlorite (bleach) are dangerous to use, according to Backes.

And, while you may think that a baking soda paste would be the perfect option, this won’t work either. Baking soda is generally harmless, but its abrasive nature could cause serious damage to your bong. Instead, you should go with something softer, like cornstarch or baby powder. Both are gentle cleansers that will get rid of any gunk without causing any harm.

If you want to really get down to business, you can hire someone who knows what they’re doing to clean your bong. Professional cleaners usually charge anywhere from $15 to $50 per hour, according to Backes. That works out to roughly $100 to $300, depending on the size of your bong and the length of time you need it cleaned. However, professional cleaning services are not always necessary.

Is There An Easiest Way To Clean My Bong?

When it comes to cleaning your bong, there are plenty of options. DIY enthusiasts can try using homemade cleaner recipes or purchasing a bottle of diluted bleach. Professional cleaners can also offer their own special concoctions. But, if you want to save money and time, you can use a natural method like baking soda or cornstarch.

Final Thoughts

In short, there’s no best way to clean your bong. Each option has its benefits and drawbacks. If you choose to clean your bong yourself, be sure to follow all safety guidelines. Also, if you decide to hire a professional, make sure he or she follows the same rules. And, if you’re unsure about the safest way to clean your bong, don’t worry. You can always ask other users who have already been through the process.
